New Memoir: Seeking Science

Jennifer Payne Parrish holds a Ph.D. in Pathology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a 

bachelor’s degree in biology from Hampton University. 

The author of several published articles, her most recently 

published article is titled, “The Legacy of Tuskegee Complicates African Americans’ Feelings about 

Vaccines.”  

Seeking Science is a work of inspiration and information vital to young scholars and professionals intending to pursue a study and practice in STEM-related careers, especially in medical science. Encouraged as a young child by a strong family but often discouraged by external gatekeepers, Jennifer Payne-Parrish, Ph.D., a veteran in the field of corporate Pharma and a Black American woman, shares her story to demonstrate what a path to science can look like.
